Study Groups - New Way to Study for MCAD, MCSE or MCDBA Certification!
The main purpose for the Techno Study groups is to become a more efficient technical professional that works smarter because they have a better understanding of current technology. They do this by studying technology at home, meeting regularly to share what they have learned and discussing points of interest that may not be clear. The learning curve for keeping up with technology is greatly reduced!
However many come to the Techno Study groups just for the networking with others in the community
Passing certification exams is a way to measure if you have master the minimum requirements.
Developers in the region meet one night a week to review content in self study courses or technical books. Typical study groups run for two hours one night a week for ten weeks. Studying in groups brings a lot of good information to the table, and the best part is that developers are networking with others in the area.
The study groups are limited to eight people and last for ten weeks. The first eight weeks of study covers the material in the book and the final two weeks are used to practice the "Transcender" exams on the weekend. The practice exams simulate the Microsoft certification exams but are not actually exam. During the simulated exams the group discusses the questions and determines strategies for answering the questions.
Study groups start at 6:30 PM and end around 8:30 PM. The techno study groups meet in a conference room located on the second floor of 1008 Brookstown Ave.
